We love a good anniversary bash, and hope you’ll join us on the 6th anniversary of our Tacoma location.

Join us in Tacoma on March 18th for the sale and festivities that is our Spring Fest! Not only is all Tacoma inventory 20% OFF, we’ll be serving up FREE hot dogs! Bring a tee-shirt and we’ll screenprint it into a bee-shirt*! (We’ll have a couple of popular Second Use tee designs that we can screenprint onto your tee or tote or wedding dress.) Stop by the booth hosted by Toolbox Laboratories and do some salvage crafting, or ask them for some tips and tricks about buying and using salvaged materials in your renovation projects!

15% Off Black Friday Sale…and earn Salvage Bucks!

We have two fun events happening the weekend following Thanksgiving day. All inventory in both stores will be 15% off on Friday November 26th. Inventory holds will last for two hours only on Friday. If you eat a big meal on Thursday, burn it off by hitting the salvage warehouse floor and enjoy the savings!

Also, starting Friday the 26th and through Monday the 29th, you can earn 10 Salvage Bucks for every $100 you spend! Salvage Bucks can be redeemed when shopping in-person in either of our stores this December.

The Fine Print:

Transactions cannot be combined to earn Salvage Bucks. You will earn 10 Bucks for every $100 spent in a transaction! Salvage Bucks, like cash, must be handed to a cashier, so they work for in-person transactions only. Hand the slip to cashier at time of transaction to redeem. Lost Salvage Bucks cannot be replaced. Salvage Bucks cannot be applied to services or to purchase gift certificates. They also cannot be redeemed for cash or store credit. Salvage Bucks need to be the original that was dated and initialed by a Second Use employee.

If you can believe it, we have been slinging salvage for 27 years now! Here’s what you can look forward to with our celebration:

SALE | 20% off all merchandise at both of our stores on September 18th. Its our biggest sale of the year! (Holds will last for 2 hours only at both stores that day.)

EAT | Nosh on free hotdogs (veggie option too) grilled by the Second Use grill master. Tips support Habitat for Humanity. Save room for a sweet treat from the small local business All About Cookies.

DRINK | Grab a pint in our beer garden, hosted by Sawhorse Revolution. All proceeds go directly to their cause!

2:00-4:00pm For all wood lovers and wanna-be wood enthusiasts—here’s your chance to talk all things wood and lumber with our wood specialists! You can even make a wood grain print with our in-house made beam print block!

CREATE | Bring a tee shirt or other clothing item and we will help get it printed with some sweet Second Use styling! Screen printing is free!

All festivities will be happening outside in the Seattle store’s yard. You will be required to wear a mask when inside the building, and it is encouraged in the yard when not sipping or snacking!

Safe Ways to Celebrate our 3rd Anniversary at Second Use Tacoma

While our Tacoma birthday party has been canceled, we are still offering 20% off all inventory at our Tacoma location this Saturday, 3/21. There will be no hot dogs or screen printing, but it is still our biggest sale of the year. To maintain a safe shopping environment, we will be limiting the number of people physically in the store at any time. Please observe the 6 foot rule of social distancing while in our store. We want every one to have the best chance to get a great deal on their sweet salvage finds, so here are some tips for shopping Second Use and avoiding the crowds:

– **Highly Recommended** Buy over the phone and pick up later. In the month of March, Second Use will be waiving our standard 10% restock fee for phone sales, so buy from the comfort of your home and come pick up on a less hectic day!

– Hold an item over the phone and come in a little later. Holds on Saturday will last for 3 hours. (Usually when we have a large sale, we reduce hold times to 2 hours, but to encourage a more casual atmosphere you’ll have 3 hours from when you hold an item to purchase it.)

– We are offering extended free storage time. This month, after you purchase an item at Second Use, you will have a week to pick it up without storage fees. Please still pick up as soon as your can, to conserve space for people that cannot make it in.

Again, be aware that if there is a large rush at 9am on Saturday, we may not be able to let everyone into the store at once. Calling ahead to hold interesting items is the best practice, but we will be on hand to place holds if you are stuck in a line in the morning.
